Join
Annual handler membership — $100/yr, auto-renews. Required for every sanctioned trial and group training event. This is the foundation.
Build your dog profile
Add your dog's registry information, vaccination records, and any prior titles earned in other sports. A complete profile is required before you can register for a trial — and it's the record that follows your dog from first run to titled.
Train
Prepare your dog on your own terms. The K9 Elements training platform offers structured paths for each discipline, written to the same criteria judges score. Outside training counts too — what matters is that your dog is ready for the work.
Qualify for your class
Each event has class levels, from Novice through the advanced titles. Your dog must meet the entry requirements for the class you're registering. The registration form shows which classes you're eligible for based on your profile and prior results.
Register for a trial
When a trial opens, members get a registration window before the public. Pick your event and class, pay for your slot, and you're confirmed. Withdrawal deadlines and any applicable refund policy are posted with each trial listing.
Trial day
Check in at the posted time, attend the handler briefing, and run your dog. Scoresheets are released at the end of the day. Qualifying scores count toward your dog's title progression and appear in the public results database.
What "good standing" actually means.
- Current membership at the time of registration and at the time of the trial.
- Complete dog profile, including required registry and vaccination fields.
- Title progression appropriate to the class being entered.
- Minimum age and any event-specific prerequisites met.
- No active sanctions or open grievances with K9 Elements.
